Births
Born For Greatness
Black IPA | alc 6.3 % vol. | 440 ml

We love anything West Coast here at Middle Child, especially Black IPAs, which we hope to see more of this year. This is a clean hop-forward BIPA with well balanced Citrus, Stone-fruit and Tropical notes. A smooth lightly roasted body with a dry finish.
Ingredients (Allergens in bold): Water, Barley, Hops and Yeast
Can Do No Wrong
West Coast IPA | alc 6.3 % vol. | 440 ml

We all love a hazy IPA, but we can all agree a West Coast is the best coast! This is a classic West Coast IPA that can do no wrong! Super-clean, fruity and well balanced with restrained resin notes and a smooth lingering bitterness.

You’re Not Worthy
Double IPA | alc 8.5 % vol. | 440 ml

This is an old-school DIPA from the times when bitterness was king. Not for the faint of heart! On the nose you get hit by an abundance of Orange and Citrus fruits backed up by pine notes and a subtle pineapple aroma. A long lingering bitterness on the tongue and again those citrus and piney resinous flavours combined with some sweetness from the malt. This is very clean with a smooth finish that belies its ABV. Are you worthy!?

Don't Judge Me
East Coast Pale | alc 4.8 % vol. | 440 ml

This East Coast Pale has generous amounts of Oats and Wheat in the grain bill, giving a super-soft and pillowy mouthfeel and making it far too easy to drink. The Mosaic and Simcoe hops offer Piney, Mango and Berry flavours on the nose and palate.

Neither First Nor Last
West Coast IPA | alc 6.2 % vol. | 440 ml

For a beer that’s not sessionable, this tastes very sessionable… if you get what I mean!? Zesty on the nose, bitter on the tongue, great body and superbly balanced. This is a rich West Coast IPA that offers citrus and stone fruits in abundance. Enjoy!

Shine On Me
East Coast Pale | alc 4.7 % vol. | 440 ml

Whilst there is lots of interpretation between Pale styles, this particular beer is sessionable, fruity and hazy. Fraser and Sam used stacks of Centennial in the kettle and weren’t shy when dry-hopping it with Azacca. Think tropical fruits with a touch of citrus/tangerine and you might detect just a hint of spiciness on the palate. Silky smooth due to the abundance of Oats and Wheat used, with a super soft water profile.

News Flash
APA | alc 5.2 % vol. | 440 ml

The duo took Frasers multi-gold-medal-winning APA recipe and tweaked it just a touch: Pale Malt with some Munich I malt to add caramel, honey and bread notes. Centennial, Mosaic, Zeus and Magnum hops to add some fruit punch to the mix. Sam (Chief Everything-else Officer ) said “Think Citrus, Piney and Tropical notes with a floral background and a taste so good you’re going to come back for a second, third, fourth” …not forgetting to drink responsibly of course! They tell us this is a beer that takes you back to the old-school style of APA – focused on great beer, not gimmicks.

Deaths
He’s My Brother
Wee Heavy | alc 9.9 % vol. | 440 ml

A Wee Heavy is a strong complex Scottish Ale. We used a simple recipe of pale malt, roasted barley and a handful of East Kent Goldings before boiling for a staggeringly long time to encourage caramelisation and get it up to 9.9 % It then spent 4 months maturing in an ex-Bourbon Whisky cask. Expect lots of toffee, caramel and plum, married with the Vanilla Bourbon oak tones. This is a dangerously drinkable full-bodied beer that gives a hit you’ll want to come back for time after time.

Too Busy To Hate
West Coast IPA | alc 6.2 % vol. | 440 ml

Out of several hundred tried-and-tested recipes, Fraser picked this as a stand-out West Coast IPA to launch Middle Child. This beer is busy with hops in both varieties and quantity! Magnum, Centennial, Columbus, Azacca, Simcoe, Galaxy, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin with a touch of Honey to complement the fruitiness. As with all good West Coasts, this is super fruity, citrusy and piney with a strong bitterness level.
Ingredients (Allergens in bold): Water, Barley, Honey, Hops and Yeast. This beer is plant-based but not suitable for vegans as honey is used in production.
